I  have wondered what the definition of privacy is for Net Generation students who have  grown up with access to the Internet easily.There are many definitions of what the mean privacy is. According to Ruth Gavison, who is an Israeli Law professor at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, there are three elements in privacy: secrecy, anonymity and solitude. It is a state which can be lost, whether through the choice of the person in that state or through the action of another person.I want to add one more definition about privacy, according to Robert Ellis Smith, editor of the Privacy Journal, defined privacy as “the desire by each of us for physical space where we can be free of interruption, intrusion, embarrassment, or accountability and the attempt to control the time and manner of disclosures of personal information about ourselves.”

Almost all the definitions are alike but for The Net Generation privacy have not got the same definitions .The Net Generation students seem to have no problems opening up their lives, sharing personel informations  to strangers via the web used increasingly by The Net Generation students .It is a fact that internet has many advantages, for instance; it enables people to reach every information they want and so internet is an indispensable tool for The Net Generation.Most of the net generation students do not  pay attention to the privacy. They share everythin about themselves on the internet.I strongly believe that they consider privacy an old-fashioned idea.

As a conclusion, Although; the web has got many benefits for The Net Generation students it has got negative effects like privacy as I said at the begining of my article.While The Net Generation students are using internet they do not pay attention privacy.They think of privacy as an unimportant idea.

Libraries can be one the most  important places for  learning.The library can play a critical role in learning directly related to courses, such as writing a paper.Libraries provide collections, organized information, systems that is useful for access.

However, It is difficult to generalize,  this article will use some characteristics of the Net Geeration student that have been described by a number of researchers.For instance : Diana G. Oblinger,president of  EDUCAUSE, says that  this generation of college students has grown up with computers and video games, the students have become accustomed to multimedia environ­ments.

One of the major disconnects between many of today’s academic libraries and Net Generation students is students’ dependence on Google or similar search sites for discovery of information resources.The Net Generation prefer to use the Google.Another disconnect is that digital library resources often reside outside the environment that is  the  computers of students’ coursework.Libraries emphasize access to information but generally do not have facilities, software, or support for student creation of new information products. All of these disconnects can be arranged if appropriate attention is paid to the style of Net Generation students.

Developing library content, services, and environments that are responsive to Net Generation students can be achieved by examining the characteristics of Net Generation students.Net Generation has grown up in and will live in a society rich in technology.Libraries can offer environments toNet Generation students while libraries enriching their college education and lifelong learning capabilities.

As a conclusion, I want to write the toughts of Joan K. Lippincott who is the associate executive director of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), a joint project of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and EDUCAUSE,  for achieve The Net Generation students, libraries, universities and many education associations should have measures by  enriching their college education,  presenting  in the library organization context.
